Reweaving began its journey from the notes of my 6 month shamanic training course, ran in 2004. It's based on the principle that the world needs urban shamans to help us know ourselves and our place in the world we live in. Many of us have those leanings within us, but don't know where to begin to understand and use them. Of course, the starting place is always with the Self. Each of the chapters take us on that inner journey, using the Celtic model. Although most ideas of shamanism are based on the Amerindian model, to be a shaman does not essentially need to be modeled on other peoples  cultural model. It's more about our inner connection to the outer world along with the understanding that all things are 'alive, conscious, and intelligent'. If we are willing to learn, those we live alongside in the animal, plant, bird and insect world will be there to teach us.Even the rocks and mountains hold wisdom that is readily available to us if we will only ask. Because time is relative, our indigenous cousins understand that our Ancestors also are always with us, looking for us if we are willing to seek out them. The more we grow within ourselves, the more we affect the growth of understanding in the whole species. Something we need more now than we ever have before in the history of the human race.
